Quick Tips

Inkscape® & Canva®

Equidox is adapted to handle a large number of PDF producers with varying content and tagging structures; but sometimes those structures are outside of industry standards.

If you or your team experience difficulty importing documents created through Inkscape, Canva, or other online design utilities, here are some easy steps to take before contacting support.

  1. Delete the existing tag structure from the document.

    1. Open the Tags menu in Acrobat® and select the top level tag, it looks like this:

    2. Right click and select “Delete Tag,”

    3. Save the document.

    4. We suggest changing the filename to differentiate between the tagged and tags-removed version.

    5. Import the document into Equidox

  1. Change the creation method

    1. Print the document to the PDF Printer rather than Exporting as a PDF from the original design application

    2. We don’t recommend the Microsoft® Print to PDF option as it removes text-based content
